This is to bring to your notice that The Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010 issued on December 1st, 2010 and scheduled to get enforced on the 1st of February, 2011 is now postponed to be enforced on the 1st of March as per the Third Amendment that has been issued on 31st of January 2011.

For promotional sms accounts.
The messages posted to DND number will not get delivered and accordingly no credit will be deducted. This would happen to DND numbers updated in our records as per the data received from NCCP registry every two times in a week
You submit sms on 100 numbers out of which 10 are on DND list then sms will be delivered to 90 numbers only & 90 credits will be deducted from your account.
This keep us above competitors having transparency in sms credits where we do not deduct dnd sms credits in real time.
For Transactional/Alert sms accounts
Please find the template format in which we should receive the template from you who have transactional traffic as per the new TRAI guidelines. Please ensure that the along with the SMS template, we will also take the new Sender id as the sender id has to be only 6 Characters.The messages generated in the specified format will be checked against the approved Templates in the Data base. If the transactional SMSes are processed apart from the provided template, the same will get dropped if the number is a DND number.
